The decision making time to choose a surgical solution of periodontal problems should not be hasty. It is important to note also that the correct diagnosis of periodontal disease, the applicability of non-surgical treatment such as scaling and root planing, where we can get good control of the disease and warn the patient the possibility of using some surgical methods at the end of orthodontics. (7)

Since the beginning of orthodontic treatment, the close relationship with the periodontist is required to establish an effective periodontal maintenance program that fits the individual needs of each case and ensure minimal damage to the tissues during orthodontic therapy. These two entities have in common the integrated management of the patient, comparing accusal and gingival problems. Very often it is indispensable to orthodontic correction in adolescent and adult patients who received periodontal treatment, with the purpose of placing the periodontal structures of the teeth in better health. After completion of orthodontic therapy, the patient should remain in a periodontal maintenance program every 3 months (8,9). But they can increase their frequency of 1 or 2 months if there is still a poor removal of plaque or deep periodontal pockets. (9)
