The fear of anyone getting a child through IVF substitution of the seed … read below the notice of RTV-Noord on one of the blunder Delfzicht Hospital in Delfzijl.

The Delfzicht Hospital in Delfzijl has a bizarre exchange occurred. A white lesbian couple had a child with a dark complexion, while they thought that the donor was a white friend.

Interchanged

The couple wanted in 2002 through artificial insemination pregnant. The two found a family friend willing to donate sperm. When the child was born, it appeared to have a dark skin. Is most likely something wrong with the office. Thus, the tubes of sperm swapped.

‘Tip of iceberg’
The lawyer of the two women talk of “the tip of the iceberg”. So sitting in the tube where the seed of the family friend had to sit, sperm from two different donors. It is also very possible that the seed of the house to another friend ask is used. There were so many more ‘unknown’ children running around.

Who is the father?
The couple is happy with the new acquisition, but would like to know who the biological father of their child is. Problem is that the hospital administration are in disarray, and so the name can not cough up. The only way that could not be known who the father is through the gynecologist. He knows that the couple took the conscious donor to the hospital. Through them, the father should be to find out.

The gynecologist has a professional and will not name without a fight release. He may, however, says the lawyer of the bunch, as he right of the child to know who his father is, weigh against the professional. And that is the commitment of the case which the two women have brought.

Incident
The hospital regrets the incident. The Inspectorate of Health had already initiated proceedings and speaks of an incident.

The protein-rich diet has been proven effective. The promotion stage by Dr. Frank is quite right. But the implementation of the diet is a diet of unmitigated kopievan Dr. Atkins. Both regimes limit the intake of carbohydrates and foods containing too much saturated fat.

The diet may help to have a short period of time to lose weight, but in the long term, this diet is not advisable. You’ll get enough fruit, fiber and calcium. It’s better to choose a healthy diet and there is a permanent change in lifestyle is required.

Dr. Frank says that protein foods speed are satisfying a feeling. That’s right. Proteins provide saturation, like carbohydrates and fats. Only, per amount of energy (kcal) proteins work more satiating than carbohydrates and fats. From a diet with relatively more protein (per amount of energy) you become more saturated than a diet with relatively high fat or carbohydrates.

If you lose weight, lose fat and muscle mass. A high protein diet makes you retain relatively more muscle mass than a normal protein diet. This is important because it is not intended that you lose too much muscle.
A high-protein diet is a good short term way to lose weight. This is of course only if you really like you to keep and take less energy than you need.

You fall about 1 kilo per week. That means you approximately 1000 kcal per day less than which you need take you.

For many people lose weight is not a problem, but after the weight maintenance diet. Often sits within one years after the diet of one third to half of the weight up again. To keep weight after a diet is necessary that you change your lifestyle permanently.

The last time I regularly see people in the emergency department in which fingers stabbing devices where they do not belong. So I have several fingers amputated in recent months over ensue. Now I notice that the first question of the team’s hand, “the patient a smoker?”
Why this question? The reason for this question is that the chance of a successful re-implantation of the tip of a finger in smokers is virtually zero. It therefore not worth the effort or the cost to try.
The reason is that the blood supply to the fingers through the smoke before the crash so bad that after surgery the blood supply remains virtually absent.

The advice here is therefore twofold:
1. put your finger in places confused not hear
2. if you still smoke the fingertip then we can no longer … sorry ..

As France, Netherlands and Germany are selling a part of the ordered too much vaccine against the H1N1 influenza virus from abroad. The peak of the Mexican flu seems over.

While other countries, like France and the Netherlands, by selling their vaccines, Belgium gave 1.2 million vaccines against the H1N1 influenza virus to the WHO. The Belgian gift to the World Health Organization represents 10 percent of the total number of vaccines that the government has bought the Mexican flu prevention. Belgium will retain a portion of his stock as a strategic stock in case the influenza epidemic would break out again.

Qatar has already purchased 300,000 doses of France and there are negotiations with Egypt, which wants to buy 2 million doses. Ukraine would also be interested in the vaccine.

High blood pressure is called in medical terminology hypertension. Although age-dependent and normal blood pressure above 135 and maximum pressure and maximum pressure 90 mm Hg maintained.

Hypertension is common in some studies refer to 20% of the population.

Complaints indicates high blood pressure really rare, especially at moderately elevated values, but the longer-term effects are not eased: greatly increased risk of severe cardiac / vascular disease, kidney abnormalities and early death.

Although hypertension often seen with diabetes and obesity (see also metabolic syndrome) is also only for this disease.

In these cases there is also a strong increases in the risk of heart attack risk increased with proper treatment it can almost completely eliminate.

Besides a too high intake of salt in our diet, which much salt is added by the industry, many people add further salt to the food or flavor enhancer to: a clear connection with the salt tax and the rise of blood pressure is known.

In addition there is the example of kidney diseases in which hypertension occurs.

Again, as for other diseases that early detection and treatment has beneficial effects, not only for the short-but also for the longer term.
As already mentioned, the only way to hypertension early to determine their active or measure to be adopted.

There are many medicines on the market to properly treat hypertension, but lifestyle adjustments (low salt, more exercise and weight reduction) is the basis of a healthy blood pressure.

Overweight in medical terminology is called obesity, sometimes adiposity.

This disease is already in the Netherlands for more than 30% of the population is literally a growing problem! 10% of our population has a severe form of obesity.

Figures from the USA and Great Britain show that we, as trend followers are able to assume that in our country an enormous growth in the number of people who will have a serious weight problem.

Directly related to this disease are problems of the joints leading to early development of osteoarthritis, especially hip, knee and ankle, besides severe back pain.

Heart / cardiovascular diseases are increased in frequency, without a direct connection with the obesity common in other diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Population figures also show a significant increased risk of premature death from heart / disease seen in people with a (severe) obesity.

Besides family history and social / economic factors an important role in this condition: we eat too much and too often, too fat and too sweet and moving less and less.

Did you know that for distances of less than 10 km only 50% of people do not take the car!?

There exists a direct relationship with other diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and elevated cholesterol levels (see metabolic syndrome).

Treatment of obesity is difficult but certainly doable, and consists of specific adjustments to the diet and increasing physical activity: you do not go directly to gym or fitness for example, but can start with twenty minutes three times a week to walk firmly.
Not only does it quickly to drop weight, but also to improve the condition of yourself and your heart and blood vessels.

Increased levels of blood cholesterol is a lot found laboratory exemption, not only in humans after a heart attack but also in screening or inspections.

Elevated values lead to an increase in so-called atherosclerosis, this increase is a narrowing of the arteries of the body so blood flow to the legs example (“window legs”) and the heart (angina pectoris) decreases. Eventually it can cause such serious defects that amputation of a leg or heart attack risk.

Elevated cholesterol is not enough cargo cover term. We distinguish a number of forms:

- Total cholesterol
- The bad LDL cholesterol
- The triglyceride (fat) content of blood
- The beneficial HDL cholesterol

In assessing the cholesterol your doctor will also take into account these different parameters, and then determine whether treatment is necessary.

At the same existence of other risk-enhancing factors for heart / vascular disease, the following values regarding cholesterol / fat content of the blood:
Total cholesterol <5 mmol / l
LDL cholesterol <3 mmol / l
Triglycerides <2 mmol / l HDL cholesterol> 1 mmol / l

Has your research with only one exception in the cholesterol levels without other risk factors may be considered only lifestyle advice to follow.
There are one or more risk factors than is usually drug intervention (medication) required.

Risk Factors

Known risk factors are smoking, diabetes, obesity and hypertension (high blood pressure).
In addition there hereditary forms of high cholesterol associated with a significantly increased risk of heart / vascular disease.

Finally, there is cause for treatment if there is already evidence of prior heart or vascular disease or a stroke by a clot.
We have to understands that if there are factors that fit in the metabolic syndrome that should be quickly passed to pharmacological intervention.

The effects of diabetes on long-term for our body are important and common.

The organs most affected are the blood vessels (both large arteries and the coronary arteries of the heart) the eyes, kidneys and nervous feeling.

The probability of getting a first heart attack for diabetics is as large as half the risk of myocardial infarction in non-diabetic cardiac patients!

Eye disorders include retinal problems in particular can be so severe that even marked reduction of vision and even blindness can occur.

Renal changes are also common and may eventually lead to dialysis.

Nerves is very annoying and unfortunately as a complication difficult to treat, as opposed to eye and kidney problems especially in the two early stage in such intervention by the ophthalmologist (laser) or medication can be reduced.

In any case, early detection of (building) a major task of diabetes cares.

Identifying the disease is often random, especially when there are not too many complaints.

Our thoughts focused on what tests or when there is recurrent urinary tract infections and is found in the urine sugar.

From Dutch and international research, we know that prior to the diagnosis have been at least seven years to establish a deviation from the sugar metabolism exists: in this phase is the development of late complications already underway, including around 30% of the people at the time of diagnosis of diabetes complications has been!

This is called a precursor of diabetes, we call this pre diabetes or impaired sugar metabolism, which almost always turns into diabetes.
This exemption is designed research quickly fixed.
